Search endpoints: base plus per result. Every query hits LinkedIn infrastructure and burns profile quota whether or not it matches anything. The base credit covers that cost. Loose filters that return nothing still bill the base, so tighten filters before you scale query count up.
Bulk endpoints bill per record. Fifty profiles through a bulk call costs fifty credits, not one. Bulk saves you round trips and rate limit headroom, not credits.
